A organização do Eisner Awards, o Oscar americano dos quadrinhos, divulgou ontem os indicados para a edição deste ano. Três brasileiros concorrem, sendo que dois deles entre si – e em uma categoria disputadíssima.
A categoria melhor história curta tem, entre os indicados, os brasileiros Débora Santos (por “The Beekeeper’s Due”, parceria com Jimmy Stamp) e Alex Lins (“Good Morning”, trabalho com Christopher Cantwell). Eles concorrem com Margaret Atwood (a autora de “O Conto da Aia”!), que teve um roteiro ilustrado pelo ótimo David Mack; Kevin Conroy (o melhor dublador do Batman, protagonista de “Batman – A Série Animada”) escrevendo uma história do próprio Morcegão (arte de J. Bone); e a dupla Jonathan Hickman e Marco Checchetto.
O também brasileiro Rogê Antônio concorre na categoria melhor série contínua por sua particapação na série mensal da nossa verdona favorita, Mulher-Hulk (é dele a divertida imagem que abre este texto – adorei o patinho de borracha).
A pessoa com mais indicações foi a artista britânica Zoe Thorogood, que concorre por duas obras diferentes: “It’s Lonely at the Centre of the Earth: An Auto-Bio-Graphic-Novel” (imagem abaixo; nas categorias melhor memória gráfica e melhor roteirista/artista); “Joe Hill’s Raem” (melhor adaptação a partir de outra mídia, melhor pintura/multimídia – arte interna e capista).
A cerimônia de premiação do Eisner Awards 2023 será realizada no dia 21 de julho, na San Diego Comic-Con.
